Write

When I was a child, my life was so swell

I wish that was the story I could tell

From heartbreak to heartache

I roamed through my life

Holding a pen and a piece of paper to write

Write down my feelings

Write down my thoughts

Write down everything I could not say

Even the things that could probably make the pain go away

So why do I write?

That is simple

To fight

To fight away all the sadness

And give my life purpose

So that maybe one day

I can finally say

"I'm glad to be who I am today"
