To Write This

I cannot think.

The words leap

Out of my brain

Into the distance

Where I cannot reach

I flip through my brain's

Many pages; but, nothing

Catches my eye.

Nothing creates the spark

To develop a marvelous poem.

I search and search for motivation

But, nothing jumps out at me.

"I'm here!" Taunts the little

Thought bubble in the distance.

But, you are too far for me

To grab and to hold on to.

So, I sit here

In an effort to

Write something appealing

Because the little thought bubble

Drifted too far away.
