Write About Love

As my flesh defeated spirit, I continued to lay down in my own sin. Drunk from the night before, I woke up and did it again. Sleeping with the devil, entangled in his sheets.. He tortured my insides until I could no longer speak. I couldn't tell you how I felt because I didn't really know. I couldn't tell you about my scars because there were none to show. Mentally, I was dead. Spiritually, I was beat. Physically, I was abandoned. It was hurt that I never thought would end. Who could possibly save a girl who relied on alcohol to make her feel satisfied. A girl was suicidal and believed her very own lies? I knew my days were coming to an end. I had no life left in myself to defend. But I woke up one morning and I saw a new story in my eyes. I washed off the makeup that helped my disguise. I went to church that night and have my life to Christ. I burned away all the hurts and pains so that I could truly begin to change. All those times I tried to overdose on pills and vodka, God has his Angela by my side, allowing me to hold on. I had so much more work to do on this Earth before I was gone. This secret life I was living with the devil, God was fighting for my life the whole time. He can save you, if he could save mine. I had a friend right here all along, he was there to shed light when I was wrong. I can do nothing but thank the man above.. If it wasn't for him, I couldn't write about love.
