A Write To Be Me

I write to be heard I create to be seen I’m inspired by words I write to be me I write to be sane I rhythm to express I stand for my name I don’t write to impress I write for the lovers I dream for the dreamers I think for the thinkers I find for the seekers I write for a voice I speak from within I write for a choice For a chance to fit in I write some with words When speaking won’t do I write to be heard I’m talking to you! I write from soul When I feel most inspired Like a cold cinder coal That’s been caught on fire I write what I feel I draft what I miss A place most ideal That’s not just a wish I write because I can I write for who I am I type to make a stand I write to win a slam

I'm a freshman in College with a love of writing, theatre, and cooking. I write a lot about stuttering because I have stuttered since I was five years old. I believe that everyone should have a voice.
