Write Your Own Story

"If you don't write your story,

Someone will write it for you."

I would agree with that.

Yes, I'd say it's true.

But someone will write it anyway,

When you're buried deep in the ground,

Will anyone care when they slur your name?

Yet, there's a hope to be found.

Write your name where it counts.

Mark your path where it will last.

Stand for the right and stop the unjust.

Remember and honor others' past.

Don't let them say you were "that"

Don't let them say you were "this".

The only thing that matters is:

You were always His.

I have wanted to be a writer since five years old and have spent my whole life working towards that goal. I've a strong imagination and when I set my mind to something, no one can stop me. My family history is rich and I am proud of my heritage, but also I am a proud, patriotic American. Speaking out for justice, freedom, liberty, and truth are important to me.
