A Writer's Ability
To be that voice that is never heard
Just someone that develops thoughts that are keen and delves into the mainstream
Media of these things that we generate from words
Parked next to this curb called "Originality"
Making sure things are straight
As I look into this mirror of vanity, but locked up in a mental prison
Writer's block, that cause of insanity, can I just call it fate?
Pen to paper, paper to pen, never want to let the thoughts stop
Being like Shel Silverstein leading "Where the Sidewalk Ends"; becoming lost
In this process of finding the right from wrong; bad from good
On the edge of greatness but misunderstood on this interpretation laid out
Foundation of rhymes and schemes; things not always appearing like what's seen
Simply an illusion, or blind to the naked eye; a transparency
Catching a reader at a moment of vulnerability leading them to a secret place
One of mystery, ideas that move faster than their mental pace.
Expressing those issues of this thing called life through one pen or pencil
Hitting them with reality; but they never knew it could all be written with one utensil
