Writer's Block
I've reached a wall
I cannot climb!
My pen no longer
Writes my mind!
Instead I sit here,
Patiently,
Waiting for an epiphany;
And nothing ever comes to me!
So many questions
Run through my mind:
Should I give up?
Have I wasted enough time?
Then, suddenly,
A flash of genius come to me.
It arrives with great speed;
And leaves just as quickly.
So now I'm back to the drawing board,
And, figuratively, of course,
I try to break through the wall with a sword.
And I prevail!
I peek through the hole
In the wall I just made
To see which journey my pen will embark,
And what you're reading now is my light in the dark.
