Writer's Block

Blank page burned in the laptop screen.

Words don't come easily.

Haunted by the melody

that won't leave me be.

Sitting in my room alone

Staring at my broken microphone

leave a message at the tone

my mind tells me.

Writer's block i've heard it called

melody drives me up the wall

let me go I can't write at all

Go away and leave me.

Blank page haunts me in my dreams

words don't come easily

and still I hear the melody

of the song that will never be.
