Writer's Block

I am suffering from writer's block.

I usually write about you but

tonight I don't know how I feel about you.

You used to inspire love poems

but now I don't feel inspired

by love or hate or anything at all.

What does this mean then for us?

Are we as stuck here as my pen on the paper?

Ink blots growing larger and darker

until the pen inevitably dries up

and we are left with nothing?

I am suffering from writer's block

so please call and say it will be okay

that I'll learn to write again

and I'll learn to love again

and you'll learn to love me too.
