What an ugly child you are

The offspring of my desire

To have my voice heard

And of my horrible attitude

About opening up to people

Sometimes I hate you

Despising every aspect about you

Yet other times

You help me find

Who I really am

A lot of people tell me

To be proud of you

When I feel you are shallow

I would never show you off

If nobody told me to

I hope one day

I'll have you figured out

Maybe then ill truly appreciate you

But until that time comes

You'll just be a sad reminder

Of what I'll always fail to complete
