Writer's Block

I find it very difficult to do;
To write, to speak my mind in ev'ry verse
Erased, forgotten words are always worse
Than what I wish I could proclaim to you.
One day I hope my heart will not feel blue
From searching for the words to end this curse.
I search and search, and yet it only hurts
To see this blank page that was meant for you.

The answer glaring right before my eyes
I found inside me, screaming to get out.
Three words run rapid round my head, so few,
So plain and new, yet ancient and so wise.
I see that now, without a trace of doubt,
I want for you to know that I love you.
