A Writer's Gift

I have a gift, a true God given talent, you cant even imagine, waking up with nothing more on your mind but to write and rhyme For as long as i can remember i have written and read the best black writers,im aspiring to become like them, one day hoping to inspire Sometimes i cant help what i write, which is why i call it "hood poetry",all the makings of a good story, but not so much to read I was given this talent, that began to show through after tragedy, when its on my mind,i have to pick up the pen and write, since its all about technology,i grab my phone and start to type I say what others may be thinking and i give it my twist,if you noticed i havent cursed or once became explicit, not that i dont want to but this is an explanantion that is part of me,just so you can understand my word versatility, this part of me,called "hood poetry" Throughout i have been asked where do you get your ideas,a lot of it comes from pain, some of it from the life ive lived, the people ive met, ones ive hated and loved, the ones that never encounter my presence, the ones that are living up above, the people that really know me and know that i will always be me,a woman with a beautiful mind, that loves to write "hood poetry" My world has been my inspiration, every moment, each situation,so instead of acting out or doing things i may regret, ill choose words as my weapon and hurt you mentally, crush your intellect I can make you feel joy,i can make you feel guilt,i can make you feel any emotion, understand that it is just my gift I dont know how to turn it off and it happens when i least expect it,like an itch you have to scratch, only true writers would get this...
