Writing

I write because I am afraid

That I am like the tree in the forest

That no one hears as it falls

That I will be one in a million

Lost in a sea with louder voices

I want to write because I want to be heard

Because silence is loudest

When there is no sound, no voice

With only the written word for company

My words will be louder than all

Never lost or faded and always there
