Writing

Writing,

It’s from the heart.

Writing,

Lost among the world

Can’t find my way out

Lost behind closed eyes

Why can’t you be happy?

I used to fight

But I have no more air

It’s gone; I have nothing left to give to you

I can’t get above the service

I’m drowning

I have broken bones

The waves are crashing in around me

You look in at me, at the shallow pool

And I realize I never had you,

And now I have no identity.

I cannot write another w…
