Writing is Identity

Sometimes people don't see Your true identity. They get lost in the façade, Who they expect you to be. What society expects me to be. I try to speak, but I am lost. Just one voice in a sea of people. Screaming, Speaking, But not being heard. Secrets, swirl about me. Threatening, Haunting, Teasing. All locked behind my careful façade. Locked behind my mask of insecurity. So I write. To say who I am. What I feel. Who I will become. To tell others about myself. I write, to lock in the bad; Let the good free. I write, so others may see who I truly am. So they may look through their image or idea of me, And see my true self. I write. And write. And with my last breath, I speak.
