Writing a Letter Poetry Scholarship
You,
Its in the silence when everything's the loudest
When i can finally hear you pleading for me not to leave
Asking for a promise that with you is where ill be
And when im alone i'll truley be alone
Not who knows where doing who knows what
With whoever
Anyone but you
Although you loved me the strongest
You tore me pieces
You knew me the best
But still couldnt save me
In fact you made everything worse
You pulled my already sinking self even further below the surface
Your life jacket was nothing but a harness
Restaining me
Framing me
Retaining me
From who i wanted to be
Because with you i wasnt me
But yet i still hear your voice at night
See your smile when i close my eyes
Feel your touch and its just not right
But ill be alright
Right?
Me
