Writing to Live

This is for you— you who cannot escape, who wishes that dragons existed if only to heat your existence and give you reason to live and to breathe. This is for me— I who cannot manifest a sentence without writing it down before I decide it truly expresses what I feel inside, and maybe you will feel it, too. This is for them— for voices who are hidden because heavy forces are dragging it down where it cannot be heard and it cannot make a difference or change the world. This is for us— we who imagine the impossible and hope when hope is scarcely found, where danger lurks and brings out the bravery in all of us. I write to bring inspiration. But mostly, this is for me— a human with a desire for someone to listen to the songs of her soul and the cries of her heart; someone who will not judge her and to indulge in all that she is.
