Writing is Living Forever
A soul is a free bird
Forever caged in the flesh and bone,
But my limbs stretch my limits
like bird´s wings for the first flight.
The spirit of youth does not escape us
It is only buried and breathing under landfills of
News and bills
Money and cheap thrills
The things that poison our hearts
And add white hairs to our heads,
But we are not doomed to consume them forever...
I refuse to accept this fate!
Through motivation,
interwoven by millions of electric neurons
I fill the void thoughts in my head with
Infinite cosmic lights,
Phantasmal mental nebulas expanding,
Yet trapped in the skull at the ends of the universe
But surely not the end of my universe.
A sweep of my pen commences
Commanded by the divine human mind,
Gay gales are summoned to eradicate what hinders my
Youthful soul
Spreading spores of inspiration
Giving life to ideas once dead,
Resurrecting a child in me who onced lived
Rejuvinated, alive truly once again
I tend my fields of thought that
Grow on paper soil
That will
one day
Bear fruit to feed millions,
Become a King´s garden,
Or will grow into a tree whose branches will give me shade and refuge
when I need to rest the body and mind.
We farm our thoughts and our dreams,
fantasies and inspirations
I see our farming arms turn into our soul´s wings
unhindered by age, race
sex, or bodily ability
We are masters of our flesh and blood
Constantly creating legacies by the second,
and inspiring others.
I think and am,
Therefore I write.
