Writing My Life Away

To write about anything I see,
Hell, I've never felt so free.
Writing is a tool used by many,
Capable of describing plenty.
What goes through my mind while writing,
Some would think is exciting.
Others may see it as a useless skill,
I see it as an endless thrill.
Expressing my feelings through lines,
Both anger and happiness combined.
I find freedom in writing about what I choose,
Sharing my own opinions and views.
The day I wrote my first poem was a great feeling,
Being able to be so revealing.
Ever since that day, I continue writing every once in a while,
Experimenting with different subjects and styles.
I thank my friend for introducing me to poetry,
I cant imagine how my life without it would be.
