Writing Is My Sanity

When I feel myself stuck in a place unknown I pick up the pen To let the words flow freely from my mind Letting all the pain and hurt exit my soul So I can think clearly I bear my soul down into the pages Writing in my blood so I can go numb I no longer feel, my mind has cleared The pages show my life in a view no one else has ever seen My words are me expressing me like no other When I feel the emotions in my body overflowing Pulling me in capturing my soul When in doubt I write myself to sanity If I didn’t have words my life wouldn’t be the same
