Writing Slam Poems

Writing slam poems

Doesn’t mean I’m mad

It doesn’t me I’m angry at the world

24/7

Writing slam poems

Is a way for me to express myself

And maybe the topics I pick

And the words I use

May sound mean

Or hurtful

But I never mean to be those things

I just try to get my thoughts out there

To get them somewhere they may never be

Writing slam poems

Doesn’t make me a badass

Doesn’t make me a hater

Writing slam poems

Makes me thoughtful

Makes me caring

I put myself in every line

There is no false

There is no fake

Writing slam poems

Is how I express

Myself

So deal.
