Writing a Sonnet

I pray you, dost thou knowest of sonnets? What is a sonnet? Who knows? I know not Shakespeare’s sonnets receives many plaudits Listening to bards ‘till out of earshot Handcuffed by only using fourteen lines Three quatrains, two couplets, ten syllables With a unique rhyme scheme terror inclines Shackled with a set meter and baffles This format is tough, wilt thou not agree? E’en thou can compose if thou art clever Shakespeare doth not make this easy, doth he? Forget not these rules and now hark hither Oft only the bizarre folk think this queer. Thou shall find this sound pleasing to thine ear
