Written Emotions

Writing soothes the soul,

It expresses feeling,

Sometimes you get on a roll,

And it sends you reeling.

Sometimes it tells of hope,

Sometimes of pain,

It helps us cope,

When we look out at the rain.

When we want to cry,

From joy or pain,

Writing is what we try.

It lightens the mood,

When a dark cloud starts to brood.
