Written at a little Barefoot Concert to Make You Love Me Again

Acoustic music makes me sick, because the sound of it never becomes anything but so sweet and lovely; lovely like being outside and just a little high and thinking about ways that I could hold you in an elementary school playground; lovely like being so in love with you and able to express that in words and sounds and looks and touching. Acoustic music makes me sick, because my thoughts stop midmindfulness and my words don't know the steps to their own dance and you are so far away, you are lightning that frightens but holds no threat of real danger, you are too far away. But I would rather you shock through me than be safe from your storm.
