The Wrong

Met my lover on robotics team Cold and rainy wet that day Stood there gazing in his eyes and my mind drifted away Tried to drum up a conversation But I really didn't know how But he stood there and he listened even though I didn't know what I was rambling on about So I decided to stop talking and write a little poem About his hair, and his eyes, and the happiness bestow him To my surprise he told me to meet him there that day We chattered, and laughed, and he talked and talked about his crafts We talked ourselves in innocence We took a lot of time Relieving each others emptiness I thought that I could try I said he should be proud of himself For everything he is and does he looked at me and smiled and I caught the butterflies of love We talked ourselves in innocence We took a lot of time Relieving each others emptiness I thought that I could try he told me I was beautiful Called me one his own I told him I would never leave him or toss him like a stone The beauty and the harmony began to unwind Our lips began to pucker and our bodies intertwined I never had this feeling, I never felt so alive and aligned We talked ourselves in innocence We took a lot of time Relieving each others emptiness I thought that I could try So he went home that same night But a different look fell on his face Almost like he was in disgrace I knew I didn't do anything to make him leave that way But he called when got home Here's what he had to say: To tell me he didn't like me and used me in his way To chew me up and spit me out and throw me away Oh, I remember how I cried and the tears pouring down my eys But its time to turn away, I must move on even though he's gone and he crippled my faith Maybe one day he'll realize that he was wrong
