Wrong Impression- A Sonnet
He is to me the crescent in the sea.
Thinking of him always leaves me staring,
The moon is so far, up away from me,
Yet I remain standing here still caring.
Up, I see the light he is reflecting,
Don't you see? He really is beautiful,
There's darkness but moonlight is collecting,
From here on my world, it looks wonderful.
But Human walked on the moon and stood just
to find supposed celestial ground barren,
Traveled all that way only to find dust,
And I had wanted to find a perron.
When I contemplated him, my heart shook,
But then getting closer changed my outlook.
