i licked into her mouth and she tasted of root beer and loss fresh on her tongue i kissed her eyelids and laid her down on a bare bed she exposed her being to me and i took her, all of her i swallowed her loss down, as if to spare her if not for a day, if not for an hour she looked at me with those hapless eyes i devoured the words on her lips and pushed some of my own in “you are needed, you are kind, you are loved, you are mine” spill the ink, let it soak into the page
