Year after Year

As a child I dreamed of growing up

I loved playing grown up, and day dreaming I had my life set up just like I wanted.

Tick-tock Tick-tock

Years passing by and viewing time differently

No more time to play or day dream

No more late nights watching cartoons on TV

Tick-tock Tick-tock

Years passing by and viewing money differently

No more wanting to spend money

No more saving up for toys

Tick-tock Tick-tock

Years passing by and viewing food differently

No more junk food

No more dessert after dinner

Tick-tock Tick-tock

Years passing by and viewing life differently

No more thinking everyone has 100 more years to live

No more life risking moments

Tick-tock Tick-tock

Years passing by and viewing school differently

No more riding the school bus

No more asking mom for help with homework

Tick-tock

New perspectives on everything

Learning how to take one step at a time

and learning that God has a plan for the future

Tock-tick Tock-tick

Reverse the time

Keep on dreaming of growing up

Dream of the achievements you will achieve

And let the dreams live on.
