For A Year I Was A King (Aztec Sacrifice)

I was a warrior I was fierce I was flawless. That's why they took me. For a year, I was a king. They gave me women They gave me food They gave me fame. I was so highly honored. For a year, I was a king. I ticked off the months I ticked off the days I ticked off the minutes. And every second it drew closer. For a year, I was a king. The day came. They sliced open my belly They tore out my heart They cut off my head And then they devoured me. For a year, I was a king.
