A year in stars
A year of stars
Of things foretold to be
What I could control
What I could not
And what
Shaped me
A year of stars
Of twinkling light
Of wishes
Coming into sight
Of constellations
Guiding the night
A year of Stars
Of lessons learned
And taught
Of things I can now
see
Cupid’s arrow
Shining
Sharp
Pierce my skin
Pierce my heart
Cupid’s arrow
Bringing to me
People I love
Friends I can’t leave
Cupid’s arrow
An assorted hue
Brought color to the world
A gift
And something to lose
Light comes from love
And shines bright enough
To obscure all
For when a light is blinding
You can’t watch where you fall
You can’t see in front of you
And you know
You can see what you’ve experienced
And illuminate
What you must let go
Radio silence
A term used to convey
A complete
And utter
Lack
Of communication.
No words are exchanged
Either for the safety of those involved
Or because there is nothing to say
Nothing at all anymore
Radio silence
The cords were snipped
Wires torn out
Yet the light still pulsed
Waiting
Wanting
For me to pick up the headset
Turn on the microphone
And speak
Radio silence
That i could no longer maintain
But how was i to know
That when i finally switched that flip
Grabbed the microphone
That it would be the sign you were waiting for
To disconnect entirely
A year of stars
Of work
Of friends
And of things
Better left forgotten
A year if starts
A sparkling sea
That I
Was utterly lost in
