A Year of You

I see summer in your eyes

The hanging leaves and thriving vines

The bluest, cloudless, perfect sky

The bright sun and the fires that fly.

I feel autumn in your walk

The slightest taste of wintry smoke

The crispness of wind's sharp, brisk talk

And the sturdiness of ancient rock.

I smell winter on your hair

The cold snowflake caught in midair

The diamonds in white reflective glare

The tranquil frost that is night's affair.

I hear springtime in your words

Soft and light, yet never unheard

Gentle songs like golden birds

And warmth still flowing undeterred.
