Yelling To God

I remember that Phone call

That took the breath away

It was your voice

Cracking on the other end

You were tired of this fight

You were tired of giving it your all

To only get pushed down onto the floor.

You were done fighting this worthless fight.

It broke my heart hearing you say "I'm done."

Nothing came and nothing passed

Time was standing still

When you pulled the trigger

Gun shots echoing in my head

Its the only memory I have of that night.

The pain still kills me

And I yell at god

for taking you away.

I didnt want to believe in a god

who would take someone so pure away,

Your heart was hurting but you gave it your all

Now i'm left here asking why

So god if you hear me

Hold him tight

Never let him feel the way he did
