Yellow

You are a coward, yellow

misguided

barking at shadows

of your own and the neighbor's

on the lawn

cast down from the sun

yellow and sick of living

on sunshine

beams, dead grass clippings

summer gone forever: now

bent shadows

we will not live on

your old daylight and sunsets

anymore

we can build our own
