Yellow Brick Road

Having your whole life

Laid out in front of you

For some i guess its all fun and games

But when your heart feels unsure

and logic cant explain

The pain you carry in your pocket

How do you know

If that Yellow Brick Road

is leading you where you need to go

Taking that step off the path

Has never been harder

Knowing that that life

Could stop leading much farther

But the beckoning calls

of those who went before

Make the Yellow Brick Road

Look less and less appealing

I took the step off

and since my mind has been reeling

with possibilities

and opportunities

that the Yellow Brick Road never offered

Dorothy Went the Wrong way

Taking the less taken road

Thats the way to go
