Yellow field

I feel like I no longer get to know you

I feel like toilet paper stuck to your shoe

I feel like when we speak it’s from opposite ends of a dying browning field and you nod your head and pretend like you hear what I’m saying as I shout & shout until

my voice runs dry

wonder if you already comprehend and that’s why you no longer bend, care to mend or even bother try

cut me loose won’t you?

you see me setting up the noose as you figure I’ll do what I want anyway

i no longer care to save face, as you begin to think,

man what a disgrace such distaste where is your

Strength??

Why is that when I express my truths you choose your responses from a list of lies?

& when I reciprocate that lie and say I’m fine you accept it knowing damn well that’s not the truth

maybe youre tired of my cries for a savior too
