yellow giggles
a butterfly kite
sailing through a cloudless ocean of sky.
the teetering feeling
of being on the verge of the grand New.
yellow giggles
of children, blossoms in a churning meadow.
the crinkled corners
of paper, of blankets, of wise eyes.
ten thousand balloons
filling my chest as the music swells
and ruminates in the heavy air.
All of these things
I will carry;
in the Soles of my shoes
and the Stars in my eyes,
down, down, past the echoes
of time.
