Yellow House

I was the girl in the yellow house,
I lived up the street from the church,
Down the street from the cemetery,
and across the street from the park.

I was the girl in the yellow house,
I would wake up every morning with crusty eyes,
And wild curling hair.

I was the girl in the yellow house,
When he saw me,
I was too blind to see him.

But when I did,
I saw everything and couldn’t run away.

As the girl in the yellow house,
I wasn’t sure who I was.
But he didn’t know at all.
So we look together.
