Yes
Yes I struggle with loving myself
Sometimes thinking it'd be easier to lie still on a shelf
Yes I got hurt long ago
Hit rocky patches and an all time low
Yes I just want to fit in
More often than not having to fake a grin
Yes I would like to have a different appearance
Wishing I had more perseverance
Yes I long to speak and act different
Hating myself for being so inconsiderate
Yes I know some of these things I cannot change
Though I try with earnest to rearrange
Yes there are people who tell me I'm a cutie
But when I look in the mirror I surely don't see beauty
Yes others give me plenty of vindication
Still I can't get away from my personal devastation
Yes they say I should be happy with what I've got
Yet...I'm not
