Yes or No

"Do you want to die?'
She asked me
Clipboard in hand

I paused
What a question
I didn't know the answer to it

Tap, tap, tap

"I don't know"
I told her

"Of course you know honey, its a simple question
Do you want to live
yes or no? "

"Yes, i want to live"
I said

Her pen swished
across the paper

"Yes"
I repeated
"But not here"
