Yesterday

The stars don't seem so far away,

    when you remember yesterday.

The way the moon shined,

and the feeling of a wish.

The beams of light fluttering down,

    a kiss.

The wind's soft caress,

    and your personal duress.

You stare up at the sky,

    with a smile so bright.

There is someone watching over you,

    tonight.

A shooting comet cross the sky,

reminiscent of a loved one's cry.

The world can seem so dark at times,

and nature is the prettiest sight.

So when you're taking your last breath,

    admire the sky's soft light.

Hey guys! I'm a first year college student who is so Undecided it isn't even funny (but it is capitalized). I play viola, participate in theater, and read... a lot. I'm probably going to major in English and (quintuple?) minor in Biology, Bioethics, Psychology, Music, and Theater. That exhausted me just writing it out... no wonder I have almost twenty credit hours XD. Poetry is a loving escape though, and I appreciate every chance I get to write it.
