"Yesterday"

It seems like it was yesterday

When I was playing with barbies

Now I'm using my time to study 

Wishing I had time to throw parties

It seems like it was yesterday

I was wasting time taking naps

Now I'm focused on downloading apps

I used to worry about bedtimes 

Now I'm worried about deadlines for finishing my homework on time

It's hard to balance sports

And writing mulitiple reports

But I'v learned to not rush the times

Because everyday matters even when you're nine

It's ok to accept resposiibilites, work on the weekends, and wake up at six for school

Because these are some steps that happen when you start growing up

That doesn't mean you should get mad and choose to give up

It's worth it to give everyday your all

Because one day you might get a call fufilling your dreams

In the mean time work hard and never give up

But never forget to have a little fun 

And live your life how you once did
