Yesterday

We are all created equal

But because

One race believed they are better than the other

And when one gender believed they are better than the other

And when one religion believed they are better than the other

We are no longer created equal

The scars from yesterday

Are still visible but are healing

Some believe these scars will never heal

They live in the past

Some believe these scars have healed

They live in the future

Some believe both
