yesterday's heap

I can hear spiders crawl along the walls with porcelain webs that echo noise they're tangled up in last nights grids of late night thoughts and upset pigs I can hear little drips along the walls from rusted pipes and little girls who stay up all night and rock to sleep thinking of yesterday's spiders and how they creep I can hear cats crawling up the scape with slinky paws and whispering feet they crawl and crawl and make their leap into yesterday's forgotten heap So the little girl who sleeps and sleeps and weeps and weeps hears little angels feet along the walls and whispers kindly to crawling feet all along porcelain webs of yesterday's spiders
