Yet We Didn't Do Anything

We were both a mistake

That’s why we can get along

We know how it feels

We know what it’s like to not be loved

How pain works

How something so “little” hurts

We could end it in a second

Yet we still stay

We could run and tell somebody

You take hits

I take words

They think it’s funny

How something so “little” hurts

They say it’s a game

But to us it’s not

They are angels in front of others

But when we are alone

We groan

We could end it

But yet we do nothing

We know it will end

Hopefully

I think they can change

Maybe

But they haven’t yet

People can’t change that fast.
