"Yo Feliz Seré"

(spanish version)

Siguen siendo noches frías

por más felices los días.

Le pido a mi destino,

no seas tan clandestino,

pues me vuelvo insegura.

No puede ser este mi aura…

No quiero sentirme perdida,

sino, sacarle fruto a mi vida,

porque mucho tengo que ofrecer.

Yo, una amiga quiero ser.

Deseo ser nómada;

(english version)

The nights keep being cold

no matter how happy the days.

I beg my destiny,

don’t be so clandestine,

because I get insecure.

This can’t be my aura…

I don’t want to feel lost,

but, make the most of my life.

I have so much to offer.

I, I want to be a friend.

I want to be a nomad.

I want to be loved.

There must be a utopia,

maybe it’s hidden away,

but I am the resistance

to giving up the search this early.

Somewhere in the world,

I will find my desired paradise

and along with it

happy, happy I will be.

So, take me away.

Take me far away!

But I will not stay,

I will move on with my life,

and make of it art.

Color myself with peace and love,

Hue myself with the heat of the sun.

I know that if I fall,

maybe I will bruise my skin,

but I will not surrender,

because I will know

that even heroes fall,

that days always go on,

and that all I have is the now.

I will not let the hours pass

to let the world know today

that I am gay, but blessed

and even if it all seems broken,

all things will change soon,

because I am smiling

and following my dreams.

All of them I will conquer, and

Happy, happy I will be.
