With you
You said to turn and to walk away
but with you my love I’m here to stay
to hold you close and to touch your cheek
to catch you when your legs grow weak
You said to stop and to close my eyes
But you gave up after many tries
my eyes stayed open to be bound by yours
inside our minds we are raging wars
You said to leave you and save myself
but you’re worth more than life itself
I would rather live a day with you
then live to be one hundred and two.

I'm a Grad student now studying Biochemistry and Biophysics (not sure how I got there). I guess I've been using this site for nearly 8 years now though sometimes I went years without writing much of anything. I write what I feel and I write what I need to let go of. Sometimes I write about a dream or a nightmare I had, If I can tell the difference. I fell in love for poetry in high school and continued to write in college.
