You

You were quiet but had so many opinions

You remained silent in political affairs

You never judged another’s words

Yet you showed me right from wrong

You were tired but you got out of bed

You couldn’t sleep with so much pain

You were woken by aches and soars

Yet you showed me your strength

You were sad but you still laughed

You cried because of your misery

You thought no one would understand

Yet you still made me smile

You were on your own but needed so much dependence

You couldn’t walk without stumbling

You couldn’t stand without shaking

Yet you carried me when I was hurt

You did everything you could to hide your weakness

And I admire you
