You

You're truly incredible.

I couldn’t ask for more in someone,

my inner self truths you more than I believe she truths me.

I’m speechless listening to you talk,

moved by the way you handle situations,

engaged in every move your body makes.

Every word you say slips into my ears like sweet poison spreading through my head.

I’m left at the edge of my seat,

so desperate to reply,

so eager to continue to hear your intoxicating voice.

I’m completely wrapped around your finger and you don’t even realize.

I would pick you over my favorite color,

over a sweet lilac I find comfort in.

You could be my favorite color, you could be my favorite comfort.

You tiptoe through my mind like a child waking in the midst of the night, trying hard not to disturb the peace that rests upon the home.

But I can still notice you’re there.

Slowly planted yourself deeper in my way of life,

changing my habits, conforming me to you.

I see you, and I won't stop you.

Because deep down,

I'm awake too,

waiting for you.

Quickly tiptoeing behind you,

waiting for you to hear I'm there.

Because even though I'm trying not to let you know I'm there,

I'm hoping you’ll feel me.

My presents.

You think of me and search for me.
