you

Location

you caught me like a

dream, tangled in the beaded

threads of your feathered

web, your dreamcatcher

holding my spirit in a

cage of promises.

you kept me like a

journal, forgotten and tucked

away on a shelf.

and with your love you

ravaged my senses, hiding

my pain and your truth.

you infected me

with sickness, blurring my sight

until i went blind.

you left me stranded,

desperately trying to catch

a breath of your air,

floating lost at sea,

sinking in your undertow,

thrashing in your waves.

you never came back.

you never came to save me.

and you never will.
