This is for you

I could probably make you a card Or just give away your age I should probably scream it to the world But I forgot, that’ll be me one day I could sing you a song that everyone knows But that would be sooo cliché of me So (clears throat) Here it goes You’ve held my hand from the day it was as small as an Oreo cookie You’ve kissed my feet because you knew it would entertain me You kiss my scars and said it would be okay But you didn’t baby me No no no nooo way You told me to be a strong woman and to hold my own You said Brittany you’re 18 now but damn shol and grown I said I know mom I get that I do It’s just sometimes I try so hard to be just like you Its hard when youre not here to hold my hand But sometimes I have to pull up my pants And be a wo-man I guess in so many words and so many ways You’ve taught me a lot Like to be strong and behave I just wanted to show you a different way That I could tell you happy cake day! P.S. I love you so much and I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing this (blows kisses, and blows out your birthday candles)

I_Am

I'm just down to earth, on earth like everybody else it's just that my words are out of this world and come from a different planet. I'm 5'3 but I have a tall imagination Black and Indian I don't write to get noticed I write to help notice problems I face and what the world face today
